Here´s how to fix the error 5B00 for Canon MX391 printers

The 5B00 error in the Canon MX391 Printer indicates that the ink collector is full.

Here are the steps to fix the error and be able to start printing again, surely this procedure will also be valid for other models made by Canon.

1. Turn off the printer to enter maintenance mode or service.

2. hold down the Stop / Reset button.

3. We press the Power button.

4. Release the button Stop / Reset.

5. Without releasing the Power button pressed the Stop / Reset button five times.

6. release the Power button.

7. Now the printer is in service or maintenance mode (the printer display gets dark)

8. Open the program called Service Tool MX391

9. We choose the option Main-Black under Ink Absorber Counter and click on Set.

 

10. A window will open that says: A function was finished. 

 

11. We turn off the printer and turn it on again, the error will disappear.
